A reveal guided by gesture
Mazda wanted a reveal that captured the essence of the new Mazda 6e: precision, elegance, and Japanese design philosophy. Instead of a conventional automotive commercial, the project explored a cinematic language where movement, light, and calligraphy reveal the car progressively.
Dorier led the creative direction and technical production of the film, designing an environment where visual storytelling, scenography, and motion work together to shape the reveal.

In collaboration with calligrapher Taro Nordberg, the film explores the dialogue between ink and metal. Each gesture of calligraphy, each shadow, and each shift of light was choreographed to echo Mazda’s design language. The car emerges gradually, revealed by movement before form.
The outcome
The cinematic reveal became the central visual asset for the Mazda 6e launch events in Geneva and Zurich, as well as for digital platforms and social media formats.
More than a product reveal, the project demonstrates how video production for events, creative storytelling, and precise technical execution can transform a launch into an immersive brand experience.
